A tractor-trailer slid off the road on Monday and crashed into a self-storage facility in Taylorsville, North Carolina, damaging one building. The accident at AA Mini Storage happened at 11:15 a.m., according to the source.

The Sysco wholesale food tractor-trailer was traveling south amid heavy rain when it veered off the freeway. It first hit the sign at 2442 N. Carolina Highway 16, which hurt the vehicle’s brake lines, according to Garrett Huffman, the emergency-management coordinator for Alexander County. Unable to stop, the truck driver then slammed into the end of the storage building. The cost of the damage has yet to be determined.
